The Ten Mile River Scout Museum is organizing a show of photographs from the Kanohwahke Scout Camps in the Bear Mountain Inn, Bear Mountain State Park, NY. New York City Scouts attended summer camp at the Kanohwahke Scout Camps before TMR opened in 1928.
To commemorate the show opening, the Museum and the Ten Mile River Alumni Association are organizing the Bear Mountain Conclave at Bear Mountain State Park, Sat. April 2 - Sun. April 3, 2022. All TMR Alumni are invited to attend.
The weekend program includes:

A 3-4 hour guided trail hike. Note: You must be fit for a rugged trail hike and bring suitable hiking gear and attire.

Visit Lake Kanawauke, where NYC Scouts attended summer camp before TMR.

A guided tour of the Trailside Museum & Zoo, ending at the Dan Beard Room, filled with his memorabilia.

A talk on the Kanohwahke Scout Camps by a local historian.

Saturday evening dinner at the Bear Mountain Inn - Order from the menu and pay for it yourself.

Look through binders filled with photos from the Palisades Interstate Park Archives.

Official opening of the Museum-sponsored photo show at the Bear Mountain Inn on Sunday, April 3rd around noon.

A reception following the photo show opening.

​Note: Some group sizes will be limited. To ensure your participation, register early and tell us what you want to do.

Each person should register individually for a multi-person group. The registration fee is $5 per person, raised to $10 per person two weeks before the event.
